A blog by me...
How very un-exciting!

I suppose I'll tell you a few things about me.
First I like Phantasy Star Online hence my first online alias which for the most part I stuck with. However PSO got boring after 100+ levels but I stayed on some PSO forums. Then a friend at school told me about rpg maker during a PE lesson, basketball was the sport to do if we didn't want to actually want to do PE. So later, I typed rpg maker into google and found rpg maker 2k. I made a short game in volving my friends and it was fantastic, and then while I was reading tutorials that people had wrote incase they had any good ideas I found rpg maker 2k3 and xp. Initially I still prefered 2k but after bothering to read through most of xp's default scripts, I had learnt most of the syntax which seemed much nicer than alot of other languages. Then I joined rmxp.net but didn't really post there until it was almost gone. Naturally I joined rmxp.org shortly after it was made but I didn't really post there, I just wanted to make my game but as soon as I had done 30+ maps I would look at it and think, I don't like this anymore (mainly because of the scripts) and abandom it and make a better game script wise. Then I decided to actually post on rmxp.org and stuck to scripts mostly being as I felt confident more or less with my scripting (in ruby) at that time. I decided to re-make one of my rpg maker 2k games - Absentis. But due to alot of the missed features from rm2k I added lots of scripts and eventually after a while began to hate the game and stopped working on it. Then someone created a contest to make a game based on magic so I started Absentis II but later they cancelled the contest and shortly I lost motivation. One my insperations for Absentis II had been Phylomortis: Avant-Garde where the two character at the time had both had very differant skills systems. In Absentis II all the planned characters and those I had made had differant skills systems or style of skills. Then a few days ago a new demo of phylomortis: avant-garde was released and I played it through on hard mode...I curse the evil dogs that chase you when you are invisible as Rhiaz. Also in the last battle of the demo Mersault had a blanked out command called Summon (I'm a big fan of summoning) which makes me want the next demo even though no doubt our saves will not be compatable. After completing it I felt like I wanted to create game again (more on that in future posts). Oh and if anyone is wondering about why I haven't really released any new scripts lately it's because I can't think of any to do. Feel free to suggest some but I tend to only do ones that I see the point of.
